• Contractor and accessibility specialist for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ modernized VA.gov Platform, working on the Platform Governance Team.
• Conducted design reviews and coded product audits as part of a centralized governance process for VA.gov, working with dozens of Agile teams across multiple contractors.
• Helped accessibility “shift left” by documenting accessibility best practices for user flows, prototypes, and research plans.
• Refined governance processes and standards, including improvements to scheduling and communication, and a major revision to VA’s Experience Standards.
• Led accessibility orientation and education effort for the VA.gov Platform.
• Identified UX research gaps and generated research questions to inform new design system patterns and establish coding best practices.
